I started this last night...finished the sketches somewhere around this afternoon and then colored FOREVER. This would have been less of a bitch if my cool version of opencanvas had not wigged out, but alas! It did, and so I suffered with oc v.1 D:

fiddle
Interestingly enough, a fiddle and a violin are the same instrument -- fiddle is just the derogatory term for a certain class of player. I chose to sketch Patrick Wolf playing his, so that I might toy around with colors (and because I was listening to him and love him).

The boys of my fictional band, Black Heart Machine, from left to right: Ash, Liam, and Blaise. Cheese and crackers, but Liam is a little cutie...chose to keep a lot of the sketchiness with them, as with Patrick above them.

Easily my favorite bird, and one of my favorite drawings in this whole thing. I uhh...could have drawn the actual bird like a normal person, but...HEY LOOK, A DISTRACTION!

Ugh, my least favorite drawing in this pile. I love dirigibles! And while I like the concept of star catching, the execution sucks pretty hard. Might re-do this as a bigger drawing, since it was difficult with my tablet and the space. /excuses

Holy crap, so many women in this! AND CURVES. Yesss. So, this is my little pumpkin, Lark. She's normally not tarted up in the least, despite being a little hottie...so this was fun. Tried to keep it kind of retro and clean.

MARILYN MANSON AND A BLOODY CROWBAR. Can't get much better than this. Somethin' kinda special for Tikky, who shares my love of this man. <3

And you guys thought you'd seen the last of those gay unicorns...but nope, here they are again. Their design may change again, and if I do draw them more they will definitely be getting some names...but this is closer to their actual appearances, I think? We'll see. I like them.

Mister Bones, tarted up. He was probably just messing around with Feste's mascara or something, but idk...his expression seemed a bit haunted, and I couldn't help but think about how when he looks in the mirror, he sometimes sees his mother in his reflection...maybe he was looking to see more of her.
